Auto parts · Lingyun New Energy: ~15% savings on high-purity gas, welding MES deployed
SUXIN Academy · ~3 min read

Lingyun New Energy supplies auto parts to vehicle systems such as BMW. Its aluminum-part welding is shielded with high-purity gas (pure argon), placing high demands on both gas cost and weld consistency.
High-purity gas carries a high unit price, so the arc-start overshoot and standby spillover of passive supply are amplified into considerable cost; at the same time, the vehicle system imposes strict requirements on welding process data and consistency.
The solution was to deploy Suxin smart welding — precision sensing plus active closed-loop gas control that supplies gas on demand; the welding process data feeds into a welding MES, digitally connecting process, utilization and quality.
High-purity gas use fell by about 15%, with about 35 units deployed; the welding MES runs stably with data fully connected. The gas saving directly dilutes high-purity gas cost, while digitalization supports consistency and traceability.
