The SUXIN sensing & control module: add smart welding — and gas savings — to any welder
SUXIN Academy · ~4 min read

The entry point to smart welding is a hardware module — it clamps onto any brand of welder in about 15 minutes, non-invasively, with no rewiring and no change to the welder itself (above: a SUXIN module fitted to a manual welder). It measures the weld in real time and closes the loop on shielding gas, killing arc-start overshoot and post-weld spillover — so the hardware saves gas on its own; software is optional.

What it senses, and how it connects:
- ▪Sensing matrix: current · voltage · wire feed · gas flow · temperature · pressure
- ▪Fieldbuses: 485 / 232 / CAN / Modbus / EtherCAT — compatible with 50+ welder brands
- ▪Edge gateway: 100+ edge + cloud AI functions, powering networked fleet control
The savings come from this gas-saving device: built-in active closed-loop control cuts shielding-gas use by roughly 25–33% per machine — measured and verifiable — without relying on software; software is an optional data layer. Two models: SWISS-60 (domestic chip · manual welding) and SWISS-200 (imported chip · automated welding). SUXIN is proven on BMW, Honda and 100+ production lines, with 70+ invention patents.
