The full lifecycle of a weld: AI makes every seam searchable and provable

“Traceability” is often taken as a slogan; in practice, it is a set of structured data a weld leaves behind over its lifecycle: who, when, on which machine, with what parameters it was completed, and whether it conforms to the qualified process.

This data can be generated starting from scheduling — task dispatch, badge-in to claim, job selection, completion reporting, each step corresponding to one record; the current, voltage, gas flow and other parameters during welding are captured in real time by sensing and attached to that weld, forming complete process data; and which process the weld belongs to, and whether it conforms to the qualified WPS, is judged automatically by AI process recognition and real-time comparison, then written into the record — a step that is hard to scale if left to manual selection and interpretation. It is precisely AI that makes the process and compliance judgment of each weld happen automatically and reliably.

When an audit or quality trace requires it, records can be searched by weld, by machine or by time dimension, calling up the complete chain and exporting it. Compared with the “after-the-fact patchwork” of paper archives, born-digital data is complete at the source and hard to tamper with.
